Thomas Randolph Morrison is the leading artist in New Orleans Carnival where his original monumental figure sculptures lead five of the city’s most celebrated Mardi Gras parades; Hermes, Endymion, Proteus, Pygmalion and Morpheus. Morrison also creates custom sculptures for feature films, television productions, theme parks and hotels, for clients including Disney, Time Warner, Paramount, and Universal Studios.  His original neoclassical fine bronze figure sculptures were recently featured in the Netflix film The Last Laugh (2019). Morrison is the art director of the Krewe of Hermes parade, and the designer, art director, and producer of the Krewe of Pygmalion parade for New Orleans Carnival. He also creates custom electronic audiovisual and animatronics projects for parade clients, designs and builds custom electromechanical devices for scientific experimentation, and co-hosts the popular Physics Frontiers podcast which is freely available on iTunes. Morrison is the founder and the lead artist at The Carnival Collective, a pioneering team of artists who produce the finest New Orleans Carnival parade art in partnership with parade producer Rizzuto & Company for parade clients anywhere in the world.
